Lawmakers today lauded the role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving shelter to the forcibly displaced Rohingyas of Rakhine State of Myanmar in the country.
“By giving shelter to the displaced Rohingya people in the country, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has become the Mother of Humanity,” Abdullah Al Islam Jakob, MP, of Bhola-4 said while taking part in the discussion on the thanksgiving motion on the President’s address in the Jatiya Sangsad on January 30, 2019.
He said Bangladesh passed a golden era in the past 10 years during the tenure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and reached the country a new height before the world.
Jakob said the Prime Minister was conferred with many international awards in recognitions of Bangladesh’s success in different sectors, including coping with the adverse impacts of climate change.

Md Eunus Ali Sarkar, MP, of Gaibandha-3 said the government improved the country’s health sector in its previous tenures, but a vested quarter is trying to make its success in the health sector questionable.
He said the government has been giving enough allocation to the country’s community clinics, but mismanagement of the allocation is found there.
Taking part in the discussion on the thanksgiving motion on the President’s address, lawmaker Momotaz Begum of Manikganj-2 said giving shelter to Rohingyas was a challenging task for Bangladesh.
