The first Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, warned the Bolivarian people will maintain victory in the face of new attacks from the United States and the opposition against the National Electric System (SEN).
‘Nobody can be trusted, imperialism will not surrender, neither will we… We will win,’ emphasized the political leader in the program Nos Vemos en la Radio. During the first airing of the program broadcasted by Venezuela’s National Radio, Cabello stated that Washington’s actions ceased to be disguised, ‘they are directly at the forefront of the attack against our country’, he denounced.
In this regard, he criticized the submission of the right-wing governments of the region to the rulings of the White House.
‘We have dignity, Commander Hugo Chavez did not kneel down, President Nicolas Maduro does not kneel, the people do not surrender (…) the greatest wealth we have is our dignity’, Cabello emphasized.
He also stressed that Maduro is the leader of all Venezuelans, ‘if the right doesn’t like it, it’s their problem, but he won on May 20,” Cabello said, referring to the 2018 presidential elections in which the Venezuelan President was re-elected with 68 percent of the vote.
The maximum representative of the plenipotentiary entity asked the population for conscience and unity to face the new sabotage carried out on Monday night at the Simon Bolivar Hydroelectric Power Station, located in the El Guri dam, in Bolivar state.
‘We won a great battle, but we have not won the war. We will win it when the Bolivarian Revolution is inexorably irreducible’, Cabello said.
Meanwhile, the government of Venezuela announced Tuesday morning the gradual restoration of electricity service in Caracas, the capital of the country, after the double attack on the electrical system denounced by the administration of President Nicolas Maduro.
Minister of Communication Jorge Rodríguez through his official Twitter account, reported that the fire brigades came to the 765 kva yard in Guri, in Bolívar state, and managed to control the flames to reactivate the electric system in this country’s main electric plant.
“The electric service has been restored in a large part of the capital, however, we are alert because it is possible that there are some intermittences” informed the mayor of Caracas.
He also denounced the fire at the electricity generation yard and the energy transmission routes in that nation’s main hydroelectric power plant.
Rodriguez said that these sabotages will generate a greater shielding of the electrical system and he called the population to stay calm “we are working with a lot of force and we will not stop working until the full recovery of electricity service is achieved throughout the country.”
For his part, the governor of the state of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez, assured through media that in different sectors of Miranda the electric service has been restored.
