'O United Nations' is definitely a collection of three prosaic poetry that would give the readers a real taste of modern (that is, Modernist) poetry. 'O United Nations' is a prosaic poetic focus on the past, present and future of the United Nations. After a close perusal of Sinha M.A. Sayeed works, it is much uncomplicated to trace the exact shadow of the poet's mind, it is quite clear that he is a Modernist in a complete sense. His poetic style is undoubtedly very distinct, individualised and enlightening. In the book, Sayeed has tried to concentrate on the present and past images of the United Nations. He narrates a vision what should be image of the United Nations to us. The United Nations (UN) is an international organisation whose confirmed aims are to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues. The affirmed aims of the United Nations are to uphold international peace and security, to safeguard human rights, to give a mechanism for international law, and to promote social and economic progress, improve living standards, world health, education, the health of animals, refugee and fight diseases. It provides the opportunity for countries to balance global interdependence and national interests when addressing international problems. The book of Sinha M. A. Sayeed has three parts, where Part-1 relates the beginning stage of the United Nations and its preliminary activities in worldwide. It started working with some certain commitments and duties. It's first aimed to save the world in any perilous situation. Our dream is to see a world where all children go to school, where all children can go to sleep well fed, where all children are healthy, where no children are infected by HIV, nobody is going to hit any children - where children can play, sing and run free. One remarkable stanza of Part-1, where readers can find his gratefulness to the United Nations O United Nations- A place of harmony and symphony Of debates and speeches Of logic and emotion Of cooperation and determination Of peaceful reconciliation and resolution------ Accept my heartiest greetings. Sayeed is very strong, honest and truthful in his thinking process. He writes which he believes and he is very frustrated on present scenario of the world. Sayeed depicts the true picture in front of us of the United Nations in Part-2. We have lots of allegations and indictment against the UN and its recent activities. Last years, the UN's participation to humanity and rights are very unconstructive and unconcerned. Sayeed utters one canto of Part-2 O United Nations----- Allegations against you Are not less strong, less voiced; Disregard, dismay and frustrations Are not unexpressed, unsounded either. Sinha M. A. Sayeed is a dreamy and visionary. He wants to see a world where are free from war, famine, crime, drug trafficking abusing and unlawful activities. In the book, he expresses the feeling of the community whose are deprived from their fundamental rights. The book is a mirror of disadvantaged people in the world. In Part-3 of the book, Sayeed presences himself in a novel way where the UN will come to us in a new-fangled appearance. At the stage, The UN will have no allegations and not arise to question of its neutrality. The UN will run of its own knowledge, power and wisdom. So, Sayeed approaches to the present UN secretary Ban Ki-moon in the way--- O Ban Ki-moon--------- It is a challenge to you To run this august organization Not being subservient to the will of any power and position Please bear in mind for all the time What you told the reporters on 1 January 2007 The day of your entrance into the towering landmark building Housing UN headquarters on New York's East River.
