The photo was anonymously sent to several mainstream and alternative news organisations, according to CNN. It was radio host Art Bell who first published them on his Website on 8 November 2002. CNN: "A Pentagon spokesman says the photographs appear to be genuine. It is not known who took or e-mailed the pictures."
